2-Page Spread: Voice, Language, and Audience
2-Page Spread: Voice, Language, and Audience
Now that the cover and table of contents for my magazine are created, it is time to move onto the two-page spread. In this blog, I will be analyzing articles from a purchased fashion magazine in order to study the voice and language used to make these spreads as well as learn about what audience it is being made for. I got a total of 2 examples of different layouts, designs, and styles to analyze. This blog will help me create the final spread for my own personal final magazine and produce the best design possible.
Examples:
As for this magazine, it is discussing an interview with a model. The information, similarly, is also being presented in a friendly yet Fromal manner. The language being used is for younger audience bit it is still professional enough. While it may seem less formal, it actually makes it more personal and enjoyable to read the spread. This is a perfect example of a 2-page spread that is user-friendly and meets all the fashion conventions such as using friendly and trendy language as well as putting together the information in a wise manner that allows it to be presented properly. The audience of fashion is ladies and makes in general which allows the focus to be on a specific category of people allowing for an easier goal to be working towards when writing. This one actually presents the InfoMation on both pages with smaller images. That allows for more text to be represented as well.
Conclusion:
Overall and in conclusion, analyzing these 2 magazines spreads in one of the best ways on collecting information and seeing the main tips and tricks to producing the perfect magazine spread. Next, I will be working on drifting some ideas for what my spread article will be discussing and some of the ideas for the titles. In addition, I will practice writing articles in order to have a base to work with later on.
